Krystian Adam - tenor
Much in demand for the 17th and 18th serio and buffo repertoire, the Polish tenor
Krystian Adam regularly works with many of the most important conductors of the
‘historically informed practice’, such as John Eliot Gardiner, Giovanni Antonini,
Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Teodor Currentzis, Stefano Montanari, Andreas Spering,
Werner Ehrhardt, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Vaclav Luks, Fabio Biondi, Fabio Bonizzoni,
among others. Under the baton of Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Krystian Adam starred
in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and Vespers on US tour, at the Royal Albert
Hall for the BBC Proms and in Versailles with the Monteverdi Choir and the English
Baroque Soloists and starred in Monteverdi’s Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda
at the Wigmore Hall in London and in Versailles. Amongst his other recent engagements,
it is worth mentioning: Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor in Toulouse and Bordeaux
with Raphaël Pichon; Haydn’s La Canterina with Capella Augustina and Andreas
Spering for the Opening concert of the Brühler Schlosskonzerte; Gluck’s Le Cinesi
in Bad Lauchstädt under Werner Ehrhardt; Le Nozze di Figaro at the Covent
Garden under Ivor Bolton; Bach’s Cantata BWV 201 at the Leipzig Bachfest
under Václav Luks; Idomeneo at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice under Jeffrey
Tate; Die Zauberflöte in Liège under the baton of Paolo Arrivabeni; Bach’s
Magnificat in Berlin with the Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester and Rinaldo Alessandrini.
Plans include: Händel’s Messiah with la Risonanza and Fabio
Bonizzoni at the Händel Festspiele in Halle then on tour in Saint-Michel; Puccini’s
La Fanciulla del West (Joe) at Teatro la Scala in Milan under the baton of
Riccardo Chailly; Le Nozze di Figaro (Basilio) at the Dutch National Opera
in Amsterdam; Adriana Lecouvreur (Abate di Chazeuil) at the Royal Opera House
in London; Monteverdi’s Trilogy L’Orfeo (title role), Il Ritorno di Ulisse
in Patria (Telemaco) under the baton of Sir John Eliot Gardiner and with
Monteverdi Choir and Orchestra, on tour in Europe and US; series of baroque concerts
in Leverkusen with L’Arte del Mondo and Werner Ehrhardt and in Castiglioncello del
Trinoro (Tuscany).
